Escalante Chiropractic and Sports Therapy
100 YEAR LIFESTYLE CHIROPRACTOR IN Escondido, CA 92025
Dr. Brenda Morales is the owner of Escalante Chiropractic in Escondido. She has been in practice for 20 years, 16 of which have been in Escondido. Dr. Morales’s interest in health care began as a young competitive swimmer over 24 years ago. Due to the grueling demands of year-round competitive swimming, Dr. Morales developed tendonitis in her shoulders.
“I was in the middle of a workout and tears filled my goggles because of the severe pain in my shoulder. I was frustrated at not being able to do what I loved because of my injury. At that moment I knew then that I wanted to dedicate the rest of my life helping people, of all ages and in all walks of life, be able to do and enjoy what they love without pain and discomfort. That is my desire and my mission.”
As a result, Dr. Morales saw a Doctor of Chiropractic who was instrumental in helping her get back in the water to train and compete to the best of her ability.
Over the years, Dr. Morales has had the opportunity to not only participate in swimming, softball, basketball, and flag football but as a Doctor of Chiropractic, she has also been able to help many athletes with their sports injuries in her practice, as well as on the sidelines. Her expertise in sports injury treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention is second to none, and her own personal experience with similar injuries has given her the ability to empathize with each patient, as she gives them her 110% effort to their care. The goal: To get them back in “the game” as soon as possible, without compromising structure, function, stability, and balance.
Dr. Morales lives in Escondido with her husband and Pastor of Outreach Ministries at their home church, Emmanuel Faith Community Church. They have two children, Cecilia, 9, and Samuel 7. She is very active in her children’s education and extracurricular activities (baseball, softball, soccer, swimming, and church life).
THE BEST IN CHIROPRACTIC EDUCATION, RESEARCH, AND TECHNIQUE are just a few of the important benefits Dr. Morales received from one of the best chiropractic colleges that exist today. “Palmer College of Chiropractic West prepared me in more ways than I can count. The excellent faculty worked very hard to bring us the latest chiropractic research so that we would be ready to manage our patients with state-of-the-art chiropractic techniques and research. I learned the meaning of professionalism, ethics, and proper patient management through solid chiropractic philosophy courses and seminars. As a Student Government Newspaper editor, I gained invaluable public relations skills and learned the importance of educating the public about the benefits of chiropractic care. My hope is that I am able to pass on the true meaning of chiropractic as a science, art, and philosophy by educating my patients about their bodies and how to live a more fulfilling life.”
DOCTOR’ MEANS TEACHER’: As an “Educator of Health”, Dr. Morales recognizes that an educated patient is a healthy patient. For this reason, Dr. Morales not only takes every opportunity she has to educate her patients, but she also makes that opportunity available to her community by holding free bi-weekly Patient Orientation Classes in her office to discuss where health comes from, how to get it, and how to keep it.
THE FUTURE OF OUR COMMUNITY is dependent on the health of our youth. It is important to make sure that the children of communities of Escondido and North County are as healthy and active as they can be. As a huge proponent of youth athletics and extracurricular activities, Dr. Morales is an asset to the health and well-being of the many youths who are involved in the many youth organizations in our community. Her love for children and the desire to see them grow and mature into healthy adults is a commitment she makes to her community. Dr. Morales has also participated in various events, like the Adelante Mujer Conference (North County and South Bay) where she volunteers her time to hold workshops for young teenage Latino girls and their mothers to encourage them to work hard in school and strive to go to college and get a degree.
